If you’re looking for a sparkling pear cocktail that’s simple, festive and ready in minutes — this Pear Prosecco Cocktail is sure to win you over. Made with pear juice, pear brandy, a splash of orange juice and topped with bubbly Prosecco, it’s one of my favorite easy cocktails to mix up for holiday gatherings, fall brunch or a cozy night when you want something bright and bubbly without the fuss.

Whether you’re greeting guests for Thanksgiving or relaxing after dinner, this drink hits the spot. The sweet-fruity pear flavor, the citrusy lift from orange juice, and the effervescent finish from Prosecco make it feel celebratory with minimal effort.

Why you’ll love this Pear Cocktail

  • Easy to mix, no shaker required: Just stir, pour, top and serve.
  • Customizable sweetness: Skip the sugar rim if you prefer something lighter.
  • Scales flawlessly: Perfect for one, or serve a crowd with a make-ahead batch.
  • Festive and seasonal: Pear adds a subtle, elegant sweetness that is ideal in fall or winter.

Tips for the Best Pear Cocktail

  • Use chilled ingredients: Cold juices and chilled Prosecco help keep the cocktail crisp and refreshing.
  • If you prefer less sweetness: Skip the sugar rim, or use sparkling water instead of Prosecco for a lighter, lower-alcohol version.
  • Pear brandy vs. pear juice only: The brandy adds warmth, depth and complexity. Adjust to your taste, or leave it out for a less boozy option.
  • Batch ahead for gatherings: Mix the non-sparkling portion ahead of time and keep chilled. Top with Prosecco just before serving so the bubbles stay lively.
  • Mocktail option: Omit the brandy and top the juices with sparkling water or non-alcoholic sparkling cider for a festive, booze-free version.

Having a cocktail ready for guests to arrive allows you to welcome them into your home … without taking your eyes away from the oven for too long.

Ingredients

For a single cocktail

  • 2 ounces pear juice
  • 1 ounce orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 ounce pear brandy, or pear liqueur
  • 3 ounces Prosecco, or more, to top
  • Sugar and pear slices, for garnish (optional)

For a batch (makes 8)

  • 2 cups pear juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup pear brandy
  • 1 750 ml bottle chilled Prosecco
  • Sugar and 8 pear slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

For a single cocktail

  • Stir together pear juice, orange juice, and pear brandy in a chilled glass.
  • Top gently with chilled Prosecco, pouring slowly so you don’t lose the bubbles.
  • Garnish with a thin pear slice or wedge (optional) and serve.

For a batch (makes 8)

  • Combine pear juice, orange juice, and pear brandy in a pitcher or large mixing glass. Chill until ready to serve.
  • When ready, divide the mixture into 8 glasses. Top each with prosecco (1 750 ml bottle is perfectly divided).
  • Garnish each with a pear slice (optional) and serve.

Notes

For the sugared rim, wet the rim of the glass and dip it into a plate with sugar. Carefully pour and stir the ingredients, as noted, so as not to disturb the sugared edge.
