Making batch cocktails can save tons of time when planning a dinner party or picnic. These Pineapple Habanero Margaritas are the best kind of spicy margarita, blending sweet heat from jam – instead of simple syrup – with juices, tequila and orange liqueur.

Crafted as a batch cocktail to be made in a quart-sized canning jar, this recipe makes four generous portions or easily stretches to serve six. The bonus about this spicy pineapple margarita is that it can be made a day in advance, so you can enjoy the party without constantly worrying about refilling drinks.

Why Pineapple Habanero Margaritas are the Best

  • Sweet & Spicy Flavor: The combination of real pineapple juice with a pineapple habanero jam provides a depth of flavor you don’t normally get from margaritas.
  • Easy to Prepare: There are just a handful of ingredients used in this recipe, so you can mix up a second … or third … batch in no time.
  • Flexible Recipe: While this recipe calls specifically for a pineapple habanero jam, you can easily mix and match. Try using a different habanero and fruit jam combination – there are plenty of options out there.

How to Make Spicy Margaritas

  • Step 1: Grab a quart-sized canning jar and combine pineapple habanero jam, lime juice, pineapple juice, tequila and orange liqueur.
  • Step 2: Top with a handful of ice cubes, secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds, or until well combined.
  • Step 3: Prepare glasses by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping them into chili lim seasoning to coat.
  • Step 4: Fill glasses with ice and pour the margarita mixture to fill. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge, and serve immediately.

Make Pineapple Habanero Mocktails

If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic version, simple mix together the habanero jam, lime juice and pineapple juice with a few ice cubes. Once that’s well-combined, gently stir in sparkling water. Serve in prepared glasses filled with ice.

Enjoy this vibrant and zesty margarita at your next party or dinner. Serve it as a welcome drink with some shrimp cocktail or tostadas.
