While kumquats are small, they pack plenty of pucker. The sweet, sour and tangy combination of the tiny fruit — they’re barely larger than an olive — makes for a refreshing springtime mocktail when combined with lime juice, fresh basil and sparkling water.

This Whole30-friendly drink is as refreshing as a limeade with the seasonal pop of the familiar orange flavor from kumquats. There’s plenty of natural sweetness in the fruit, and the smell of fresh basil gives plenty of springtime garden party vibes.
