Herb Butter Recipe

Ingredients

Lemon Garlic Butter

  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons basil
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 lemon zested
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Thanksgiving Herb Butter

  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon sage
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Dill & Chive Butter

  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon dill
  • 2 tablespoons chives
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Add butter to a bowl and mix with a hand mixer for 45 seconds to 1 minute to whip.
  • Fold in other ingredients, until well combined.
  • Transfer to a piece of plastic wrap, and fold over to form a log. Twist ends and tighten.
  • Refrigerate for an hour, up to overnight, to set up.
  • Unwrap, slice into ½-inch thick rounds and serve.

Notes

Once set, compound butter can be frozen for up to 3 months. Ensure it is tightly wrapped in plastic and placed in a well-sealed zip-top bag.
