Cuisine: American
Servings: 2
- 2 4-ounce frozen tilapia fillets
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning blend
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill roughly chopped, for serving
- 1 lemon sliced, for serving
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Lightly grease a baking dish.
Place the frozen tilapia fillets in a single layer in the prepared dish. Drizzle melted butter evenly over both fillets.
Sprinkle with lemon pepper seasoning blend and salt.
Bake for 20 minutes. Switch oven to broil and cook for an additional 2 minutes to get a little color on top. Watch closely, so it doesn’t burn.
Remove from the oven and top with fresh dill. Serve immediately with lemon slices.
- Bake time: The fish needs to cook until an internal temperature of 145 degrees F or higher is reached. It should easily flake with a fork.
- Lemon pepper seasoning: Look for a salt-free blend like Dash. If the blend has salt, adjust accordingly.
- Make Whole30: Swap butter for ghee and be sure to read the label on your lemon pepper seasoning. Dash is compatible.
- Scaling the recipe: This recipe is built to serve 2 but easily scales. Just increase the ingredients proportionally and use a larger baking dish so the fillets aren’t touching.
