Apple Cider Old Fashioned Cocktail
This seasonal take on a classic cocktail adds apple cider and brown sugar to bourbon and bitters for a spirit-forward fall drink. Try this Apple Cider Old Fashioned cocktail for Thanksgiving or as a welcome drink for your next dinner party.
Servings: 1
- 2 ounces bourbon or rye whiskey
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 ounces apple cider
- Orange twist for garnish
- Apple slices for garnish
In a rocks glass, add 1 teaspoon brown sugar, 3 dashes Angostura bitters and 2 ounces apple cider. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Add a large cube to the glass. Pour over 2 ounces of bourbon or rye whiskey and stir with a cocktail spoon.
Garnish with an orange twist and apple slices. Serve.
